| Welcome and thanks for stopping by to visit my work. I am a Pittsburgh based photographer, but always look forward to travel to photograph Most of my work is a mixture of digital and analog output, including medium format squares and 4x5. My studio is located in the Polish Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh, just up the hill from Lawrenceville - east of the city. My clients include the following: Spoon/BRGR Restaurant Notion Restaurant Verde Restaurant Moss Architects Goldberg, Persky and White, Attorneys at Law American Adventure Sports Grassroots Racing Bill Deasy Gemini Children's Theater I also photograph weddings and ceremonies, and work as a freelance photographer for the Valley News Dispatch, a division of the Tribune Review. Good photographs are found everywhere - sometimes it takes a little looking, but they are out there. Good photographs, although the term 'good' is subjective, are always emotive and sometimes contradicting. Every photograph, whether it's on film emulsion or a digital card, has a story - a vignette in time. Sometimes that amount of time is 1/8000 of a second. Sometimes it's a day. But from the moment that the shutter closes, that fraction of time is captured. Stored. It happened - whether the film dries and cracks or the delete button is pressed - it happened. And there's no turning that back. I look for light, patterns, expressions, colors, relationships. I am interested not just in the presence of light, but also the omission of it. |
